Help us empower lives and build community — for generations to come.

Our community’s strength is reflected in its dedication to creating strong learning, exploration, and growth opportunities for its citizens.  Catawba County Libraries inspire our very youngest by providing critical early literacy skills.  We work with students to build creative and analytical lifelong learners.  We empower all ages with a robust offering of literature, cultural series, and career and technology programming, as well as access to the latest technologies and expertise to help citizens learn and dream.

storytimes_96_1200The Library Endowment is here to ensure a bright and lasting future for the library and our community.  It provides critical support extending beyond that provided by local and state sources, and ensures long term sustainability and ongoing innovation.

Please join us in this vital effort.

A donation of any amount will make a difference, as all gifts are added in entirety to a protected, permanent fund balance that continues to grow.  Each year, only a portion of the interest earnings from invested funds may be used, solely to benefit library services, collections, and programs.

The endowment is managed through the North Carolina Community Foundation, and donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law. In addition to cash gifts, the Library Endowment invites gifts of securities, real estate, life insurance, and trusts.

Your gift creates a lasting legacy.

From $25 to $5000, we are thankful for your gift of any amount.

All gifts are honored with a personalized  letter of appreciation.

Gifts of $1,000 or more are additionally acknowledged on this site and the Library Endowment Plaque:

From Our Customers!

The library staff are warm, loving, caring people. The first thing I find in a new city is the library. We found friends when we moved to Newton. Many of those friends are the library staff.”
